It is what it is. This for nerds like me who like to entertain themselves while sitting by the window on a long or even short flight. This reads the GPS signals thro the window and will give you GPS calculated altitude, ground speed . Your phones own compass will give your heading. Also gives your your climb or descent rate (units displayed should be multiplied by a thousand i.e descent rate of 2ft/min should read 2000 ft/min). It allows you pick your destination and departure city not airport.

I recently used it while traveling on plane. It was very good experience. It would be great if an option is added for saving the flight path( kml or gpx file) for opening on google earth etc. Thanks.

Wow, useful when for all kinds of travelling and hiking. But not very accurately. 2 phones, same brand: 5m and 75m above sea level, speed 4 and 6 km/h, when phones on the table.
